Privacy Policy
Hold The Base collects no personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no trackers and no in-app purchases. Your progress is saved on your own device and never sent to us.

Who makes the game
Hold The Base is made by SEMPITE, a studio run by Jacob Ezra Gerrish in New York, USA. Questions about this policy go to jacob@sempite.com.
What the game keeps, and where
The game remembers your saved run, your best waves on each map, your Free Build layouts, your sound setting and the skin you picked. All of it is stored only on your device: in the app’s own storage on Android, or in your browser’s local storage when you play on the web. None of it is sent to SEMPITE or anyone else.
Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes it.
What we do not collect
No name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID or usage statistics. The only permission the Android app asks for is internet access, which is used for Play with a Friend and nothing else. It contains no third-party code that collects data.
Playing with a friend
When you choose Play with a Friend, the two games talk through a small relay server run by SEMPITE at mp.sempite.com. It passes game messages between the two of you (hero positions, what you build or buy, and the state of the wave) for as long as the game lasts. It does not store those messages, does not log what is in them, and there are no accounts or names. Like any connection, the server sees your IP address while you are connected. The 4-letter room code is random and stops working when the host leaves.
Links out of the game
The About screen has links to sempite.com. Tapping one opens your browser, and the SEMPITE website privacy policy applies from there.
Playing in a browser
The web version at sempite.com/play/hold-the-base is a static page. The game and its fonts are served from sempite.com, and the page uses no analytics and no cookies. Like any website, our servers briefly keep standard request logs (IP address, browser type and time) for security and reliability, as described in the website privacy policy.
Google Play
If you install the game from Google Play, Google handles the download under its own privacy policy. Google gives developers anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts and crash reports; these do not identify you.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Any change that collects new information would be explained here before it takes effect.
