Real backgammon

Every rule, the way the board plays.

Questions about the game.

Is Gammon! free?

Yes. It is free to download and play, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no account.

Does it have the doubling cube?

Yes. You can double whenever it is your turn before you roll, and the computer decides whether to take or drop. Matches run to 3, 5 or 7 points, and gammons and backgammons score double and triple.

Can two people play on one device?

Yes. Choose pass and play, type both names, and the board turns to face whoever is up next.

How do I install it on iPhone?

Open sempite.com/play/gammon in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap Add to Home Screen. It opens full screen from its own icon and keeps working offline after the first load.

How do I install it on Android?

Tap Download for Android, open the file when it finishes, and allow your browser to install apps if Android asks. That permission is only needed the first time.

Is it in the Google Play Store or the App Store?

Not yet. For now Gammon! is distributed directly from sempite.com, signed by SEMPITE.

Does it save my match?

Yes. The match is saved on your device between games, so you can close it and pick the same match up later.
