Frontline
A free squad runner for Android, iPhone and the browser, with five maps. Lead your squad up a five-lane road. Hold the middle against the enemy, or swing out to shoot down a wall and grab the card behind it. Read the red cards, squeeze through the checkpoints, and destroy the boss before it crushes you.

Five maps
Same rules, five different wars.
- US Army vs Enemy Forces, in the desert
- Orcs vs Elves and Cats vs Dogs
- Commandos vs Alien Hunters, and Resistance vs Machines
- Each with its own units, enemies, weapons, ranks and boss
Five lanes
The middle is the fight, the sides are the rewards.
- Enemies come down the middle, then chase you
- Walls guard most cards: shoot them down or lose units ramming them
- Red cards take units, jam your weapon or drop your rank
- Runners, shield bearers, shooters, bombers and elite mini-bosses
Barricades
Some things cannot be shot.
- Barricades block one or two lanes: whoever hits one is lost
- Checkpoints close the road except one gap
- A squad wider than the gap loses everyone who does not fit
Upgrades and bosses
Get stronger, then prove it.
- 14 weapons and 12 ranks, and the squad visibly changes
- Every 100 units march as one big unit
- Three bosses per map: one shells you, one sweeps the lanes, one unloads troops
- You never stop for the boss: destroy it before you reach it, or it crushes you
- Endless mode puts a boss every 520 meters

Questions about the game.
Is Frontline free?
Yes. It is free to download and play, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no account.
How do you play?
Drag left or right, or use the arrow keys, to move your squad across a five-lane road. Your squad fires on its own. Enemies come down the middle and chase you, and the side lanes hold reward cards, usually behind a wall you have to shoot down first.
What maps are there?
Five: US Army vs Enemy Forces in the desert, Orcs vs Elves on a forest road, Cats vs Dogs on a suburban street, Commandos vs Alien Hunters in the jungle, and Resistance vs Machines in a ruined city. Each has its own units, enemies, weapons, ranks and boss, and keeps its own mission progress.
What happens if I hit a wall or a barricade?
Running into a wall you have not broken costs you part of the squad, and ramming a steel one usually wipes it out. Barricades cannot be shot: whoever runs into one is lost, and at a checkpoint the part of your squad that does not fit through the gap is lost too.
What are the red cards?
Bad upgrades. They take away part of the squad, halve it, jam your weapon back a tier or drop your rank. Every row has at least one good card, so read them before you commit to a lane.
What can I upgrade?
Three things: more units, 14 weapons (on the US Army map, the M4 Carbine up to an Orbital Strike) and 12 ranks (Private up to Five-Star General), which let each unit take more hits. Your squad visibly changes as it ranks up, and every 100 units march as one big unit.
What enemies and bosses are there?
Besides basic troops and heavies there are fast runners, shield bearers whose shield soaks bullets until it breaks, shooters that hang back and fire, bombers that explode on contact or when shot, and elite mini-bosses. Each map has three bosses: one shells the squad, one fires barrages across the lanes or a beam down your lane, and one keeps unloading troops.
What is Endless mode?
A road that never ends. The enemy gets stronger the farther you push and a boss blocks the road every 520 meters. You never stop for it: knock it out before you reach it, or it crushes the squad.
How do I install it on iPhone?
Open sempite.com/play/frontline in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap Add to Home Screen. It opens full screen from its own icon and keeps working offline after the first load.
How do I install it on Android?
Tap Download for Android, open the file when it finishes, and allow your browser to install apps if Android asks. That permission is only needed the first time.
Is it in the Google Play Store or the App Store?
Not yet. For now Frontline is distributed directly from sempite.com, signed by SEMPITE.
