Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
SEMPITE (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to ensuring that our website, sempite.com, is accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities. Accessibility is also core to the work we do for clients, so we hold our own site to the same standard.
1. Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological conditions.
2. Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the page structure. - A single, logical heading order on every page.
- Descriptive
alttext on meaningful images andaria-labels on icon-only controls. - Colour combinations chosen and tested for sufficient contrast.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, and forms — no action requires a mouse.
- Visible focus states and labelled form fields.
- A responsive layout that reflows cleanly on mobile and at high zoom.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Where we are aware of a limitation, we prioritise a fix. Third-party or embedded content (for example, external booking widgets) may not always meet the same standard; where that happens we work with the provider or offer an accessible alternative on request.
4. Reporting an Issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to hear about it and will do our best to resolve it promptly. Please email [email protected] with:
- The page URL where you experienced the problem
- A description of the barrier
- The browser and assistive technology you were using, if applicable
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to provide the requested information or an accessible alternative in a reasonable timeframe.
5. Assessment & Ongoing Effort
We assess accessibility through a combination of automated tooling and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and we review new pages before publishing. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task; this statement is reviewed and updated as the site evolves.
