I am Jacob Ezra Gerrish, the founder of SEMPITE, a boutique digital consultancy in the New York metro area. SEMPITE closes the Scale Gap: the space between knowing your digital presence is behind and being able to afford an agency that will actually pay attention to you. Every engagement is run by me, not handed to an account manager or a junior team.
I spent nine years in retail and ecommerce, five of them owning a six-channel marketplace business end to end (Shopify Plus, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Etsy and Michaels), covering catalog automation, product data, demand forecasting and the operations work that keeps a digital shelf accurate. That background is why SEMPITE audits read like operating plans rather than checklists.
Today my focus is AI search visibility: whether a brand actually appears when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews for a recommendation. SEMPITE tracks that as a first-class metric, publishes original research on it, and runs its own tooling and self-hosted language models so client data never leaves our infrastructure.
